Andreas Syrimis BSc (Hons), Ost., MSc, Dip Phyt, MCPP, MNIMH, founded the Bloomsbury practice in 1996. He is an established and well known osteopath and medical herbalist – often integrating both systems in his approach. He practises a couple of days a week as most of his time is devoted to lecturing, publishing and research. His posts include: Director of Admissions for MNIMH, Senior Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the Universities of Westminster, East London and London School of Osteopathy.
Charlotte Hunt BSc (Hons), graduated from the College of Osteopaths. She is trained in both structural and cranial osteopathic techniques and treats patients of all ages – babies through to the elderly. She has additional qualifications in treating minor sports injuries and gives tailored postural advice plus stretching or strengthening exercises to help patients with ongoing management of their symptoms and prevention of injury recurrence. With this holistic treatment approach she encourages patients to play a part in their own recovery ensuring a long-term solution rather than just a quick fix.
Johanna Arias-Lopez MOst, ND, DO, graduated with a master's degree in Osteopathic Medicine and a diploma in Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. Johanna first takes an extensive case history to ensure that she gains a complete understanding of the patient's predisposing and aggravating elements in their lives. She employs effective osteopathic treatment and management techniques as well as extensive soft tissue/massage techniques to help improve muscular function and relaxation. Her management programme incorporates exercises, stretches, diet and nutritional advice.
Steven Hadlum-Emburey MOst, ND, DO, graduated with a master's degree in Osteopathic Medicine and a diploma in Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. With extensive training and knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Steven addresses the biomechanics of the human body and approaches each individual with a specialised treatment programme, tailor-made for their specific needs. He holistically incorporates a variety of structural and visceral techniques including the use of Modern Medical Acupuncture in order to achieve recovery. Furthermore, Steven encourages and empowers his patients to help them take control of their health issues, to prevent injury and to help them enjoy an active healthy lifestyle.
Euan MacLennan is a Medical Herbalist who has experience in treating a wide range of health issues but has a specialist interest in gastrointestinal complaints such as IBS, bloating, abdominal discomfort and IBD. He also manages patients with long-term problems such as osteoarthritis, respiratory conditions, chronic fatigue and recurrent infections. These conditions appear to respond well to herbal medicine, especially when coupled with advice regarding lifestyle and diet. The aim is to inform the patient about how they my best support their own health rather than relying solely on medication.
Charlie Henry-Jones MOst, graduated from BSO. He treats all ages, from babies to the elderly, as well as expectant mothers and uses both structural and cranial osteopathic techniques. With a background in sports and a qualified fitness instructor, Charlie is also able to go to gyms and parks where he can assess patients bio-mechnanics and devise a tailored rehab and exercise plan.
Josh Johnson BSc (Hons), graduated from the SIO and uses a structural approach to treatment, drawing on classical Osteopathic principles to give gentle yet effective treatments. Josh takes a particular interest in posture and workplace ergonomics. In his spare time Josh enjoys competing in a range of sports and disciplines which have stimulated a personal interest in sporting injuries, their rehabilitation and prophylactic treatment.
Tomas Bittner is a sports and remedial massage therapist and currently studying a masters degree in Osteopathy at LSO. He treats sports people such as runners, cyclists and swimmers, however many of his clients simply come to see him because they suffer from back pain, stiff necks and aching shoulders from working behind a desk. Tomas tailors the treatment to your needs. From marathon runners, to office workers; from an assertive treatment, to just pampering yourself with a relaxing massage.
Claire Rother BSc (Hons), MNIMH, is a fully qualified Medical Herbalist and member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She has experience of treating many different health conditions both acute and chronic. Her special interests are women's health, digestive complaints and stress related conditions. Using both her expertise in herbal medicine and knowledge of nutrition she helps restore the proper function of the body and effectively guides patients to a state of balance and health. Claire is currently doing postgraduate studies in Psychoneuroimmunology – an integrated branch of medicine that looks at the relationship between the different systems of our body, in particular the psyche, nervous system and immune system. It focuses on the role of exercise, nutritional medicine and phytomedicine to provide a unique and effective treatment of complex and common health conditions.
